Preisinger Receives National LPGA Award

Daytona Beach, FL - The LPGA Teaching & Club Professional Division honored Carol Preisinger of Marietta, GA as the recipient of the 1998 LPGA National "Teacher of the Year" Award, presented by Spalding.

Carol Preisinger, a certified clubfitter for Square Two Golf, and a T&CP Division member since 1988, is the Director of Instruction at City Club Marietta. Preisinger's accomplishments include: initiating the City Club Junior Golf Program; establishing a LPGA Girls Golf Club at City Club Marietta; hosting the 1998 Georgia State Golf Association Junior Girls Program kickoff clinic; and initiating a "partners program," a series of five lessons with on-course instruction for two to three women, a more affordable way to learn and play with another friend.

Preisinger, a Class "A" LPGA T&CP Division member, has also served as a host for an LPGA certification testing site.  She has donated lessons for silent auctions benefiting the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, Atlanta Women's Network, Maternal and Child Health Institute, Easter Seals and Promina Northwest Hospital.

The LPGA National Teacher of the Year Award presented by Spalding, established in 1958, is awarded annually to the woman golf professional who has most exemplified her profession during the year.
