PGA Teacher of the Year
David Mutton, PGA Teaching Professional at Driving Obsession, a golf training center in San Francisco, CA, has been named the 1999 PGA Teacher of the Year by the Northern California Section of The Professional Golfers Association of America.
Mutton will be honored for his dedication to teaching and his outstanding service as a golf instructor at the 1999 NCPGA Annual Membership Meeting on December 6th at Elkhorn Country Club in Stockton, CA. Over 400 PGA golf professionals are expected to be in attendance at the award ceremony.
Mutton has a passion for teaching. He integrates 3-D motion analysis, biofeedback training and digital video into his golf instruction. He was one of the first golf instructors in the nation to utilize the ASTAR video computer. Over twenty PGA instructors throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico now employ his teaching methods. In the past five years Mutton has provided instruction to over 12,000 golfers. This upcoming spring, Mutton will be a featured instructor at the NCPGA Teacher and Player Forum, providing state-of-the-art instruction to over 100 PGA golf professionals.
Mutton is Founder and President of Driving Obsession located in the heart of downtown San Francisco. Besides being a teaching professional, Mutton is also a Certified Fitness Trainer.
Mutton was honored at the Annual Membership Meeting of the NCPGA at Elkhorn Country Club in Stockton, CA. Four hundred fellow professionals were in attendance.
