Rhoads Elected into the PGA Quarter Century Club

The Northern California Section of the PGA is pleased to announce that Rick Rhoads, PGA Head Professional of the San Francisco Golf Club was recently elected into the PGA of America’s Quarter Century Club. This recognition is for his twenty-five years of dedicated service to others through the game of golf.

Rhoads connection with the game of golf began in his youth when he first picked up a golf club at Los Angeles Country Club. During high school most of his practice and playing was at Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach, where his parents were members. Rhoads was an All-American and played collegiate golf at the University of Southern California.

After college Rick worked for PGA Professional Claude Harmon at Winged Foot Golf Club, Mamaroneck, NY. He then went on to play the PGA TOUR from 1968-1975. In 1976, he became Head Professional at the San Francisco Golf Club, where he continues to this day to serve club members and their guests.

Throughout his career Rick had the support and guidance of other golf greats such as Gary Player and Dave Stockton, Sr. In turn, Rick has had a great influence on his three sons who are committed to the game of golf in different ways. Kevin plays on the Canadian Tour, Curtis works as a PGA apprentice at Contra Costa Country Club, and Ryan will be playing on the U.C. Davis golf team this fall. Rick resides in Moraga, CA with Joan, his wife and greatest supporter. Rick Rhoads is another PGA Professional making golf a better game.
