Playing the game for 32 years, Rich Waite grew up in Indiana playing junior golf. He knew he loved the game and played in many city amateurs, USGA events and even one PGA qualifier. He attended the 1st PGA Academy of Golf in 1977, that was taught by Dr. Gary Wiren, considered one of the top 100 teachers in America.

Rich attended Northwood University in Midland, MI, then turned pro in 1994. Currently he is enrolled in the Professional Golfers' of America Golf Professional Training Program.

"My philosophy is to keep it simple," says Rich. "My goal is to assist students in making better contact with the ball so they can be more consistent, which will help lower their scores. Everyone is different, so I convey the fundamentals of the golf swing in easy-to-understand terms and progress with practice drills to attain better muscle memory, which will lead to more consistent ball striking and enjoyment of the game."

Rich teaches at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club and periodically runs classroom seminars on rules, etiquette and course management for the members. He also assists with the Capital City Junior Tour. You can contact Rich by calling (334) 273-8406.
