A former LPGA Tour player,
Melissa Whitmire started teaching in late 1990 and went on to establish her own private business in 1993. She named her business
"Happiness in Golf", after developing a teaching philosophy where she strives to not only improve people's games, but to enhance the quality of their lives
as well.
From this philosophy, Melissa developed the "How to Find Happiness in Golf" workshop. This is a program that guides people
on how to create, build, and live the game of their dreams. She is currently marketing the workshop
nationwide in order to help more people live their golfing dreams.
Melissa's teaching programs incorporate a balance of mental and physical skills.
Basic swing fundamentals are combined with techniques that lead to more productive thoughts and
feelings, both of which Melissa feels are needed to play to the highest level.
Melissa is a Class A Member of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division, as well as a Class A Member of the LPGA Tour.
Of special note, she has recorded a song called "The Oath of Golf Happiness"
and intends to sell the single CD as a means of reaching more people with her message about the joys of golf.

Master Plan for the Game of Your Dreams:
This is a highly individualized year-long program that incorporates every facet of the game. Students receive 25 hours of instruction that includes:
swing mechanics and short game skills, personalized imagery (pre-shot)
routines, personal goal-setting and strategy sessions, on course playing lessons, a workshop, and manual. The manual includes digital photos of the
student in key swing and short game positions, notes and reviews of every
lesson, personalized goal strategy worksheets, motivational pieces, and a collection of Melissa's articles.

Playing Strategy and Shotmaking School:
Four person school that specializes in learning how to "work" the ball, including a variety of
short game skills, trouble shots, etc. Afternoons are spent on the golf course learning the art of decision making, golf course
strategies, the use of special shotmaking skills, and creative imagery.
2 Days: $325 per person. Optional 3rd Day is an additional $100 per person.
