Since 1990, Cyndi Evans has been an assistant professional at this seaside 18-hole private club designed by Robert Trent Jones and ranked as one of the "Top 100" courses in America by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. As buyer, she is also responsible for The Dunes Club being recognized by Golf Shop Operations as one of the "Best 100 Golf Shops" in the country for the Carolina PGA Section. From 1994-1998, she was solely responsible for managing all merchandise locations and sales during the Energizer Senior Tour Championship.

Cyndi has vast experience when it comes to teaching the game of golf. Since 1992, she has conducted 25 Marlene Floyd "For Women Only" golf schools in the Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach (SC) area annually. These schools concentrate on the differences in teaching men and women, and all aspects of the golf swing. In addition, she coordinates and runs leagues for all golfers, as well as assisting with tournament operations, junior and ladies golf clinics. Cyndi teaches close to 350 individual lessons each year.

Cyndi has received two prestigious awards for excellence in her profession. Golf for Women Magazine named her a "Top 50" instructor for 2002, and has been featured in two magazine articles and appeared in their special "Top 50 Instructors" issue. The PGA of America named Cyndi the "2002 Assistant Professional of the Year" in the Carolinas section, the largest PGA section in the country. She was voted in by a group of fellow PGA Professionals. In 2001, Cyndi was elected to the CPGA Board of Directors, representing Area V, as the first woman elected to serve on the Board and has co-chaired the Ethics and Employment Committee and the Hall of Fame Committee. She is on the NC State University Professional Golf Management Board. Cyndi takes pride in her love for the golf profession and her position with the Dunes Club, which translates to her ability to inspire other golf professionals. She has served the Carolinas PGA on the tournament committee, and currently serves on the ethics committee. She is also the section's Area VII director.

In 1986, Cyndi received a BS in Recreational Resources Administration from North Carolina State University, and was a member of the NCSU Women's Golf Team. After completing PGA Business Schools I, II, & III, she received her Class A status from the PGA of America. Her career started as an assistant professional at Bentwinds Golf & Country Club in Fuquay-Varina (NC) and next at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary (NC).
