Serving golfers as a PGA member since 1954, Jack Doss is recognized as one of the best instructors for better golfers in the Bay Area. He was awarded the Northern California Section PGA Teacher of the Year in 1997.

Jack apprenticed at the famed Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY, under former Masters Champion, Claude Harmon. During the late 1950's and early 1960's, Jack was a money winner on the PGA TOUR. He set several course records, and currently holds the record 9 under-par score of 63 at Baton Rouge Country Club in Baton Rouge, LA. Winning the 1960 Louisiana PGA Championship, provided the opportunity For Jack to compete the same year in the National PGA Championship at the Firestone Country Club in Akron, OH.

He has served as head professional at Waverly Country Club in Portland (OR), Silverado Country Club in Napa (CA) from 1975 to 1980, Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz (CA) from 1980 to 1985, and the Santa Clara Golf & Tennis Club until 1999, Jack provides private golf instruction along with conducting seasonal golf schools in Oregon, Northern and Southern California.
