Casey Eberting, Golf Teaching
Professional
Indian Springs Country Club - Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
While taking lessons for four and a half years from Jimmy Ballard's first assistant, Casey Eberting learned to teach the modern tour swing. Casey was then given the opportunity to join Jimmy, and his teaching staff at the world famous Doral Resort and Spa. It was while teaching for Jimmy Ballard, who has worked with over 100 Tour players, including number one money leaders on the PGA and Senior PGA Tours, that Casey learned the nuances of the art of teaching the golf swing. He was able to watch, and learn, from one of the world's greatest instructors.
Those who study under Casey know that he teaches the fundamentals that were so perfectly demonstrated in Ben Hogan's golf swing. "Ben Hogan had the best golf swing that I have ever seen," states Casey. In his Golf Vacation Seminar, offered four times a year in San Diego County, Casey spends time discussing Hogan's fundamentals as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the modern tour swing, as exemplified by Tiger Woods.
Casey believes a golf swing is not learned by throwing money at it, nor by practicing something for only a week or two. It doesn't come quickly and it doesn't come easily, yet golfers seem to think that it will. If you want to improve, be prepared, you will hit the ball badly and your swing will feel very awkward until you have practiced enough to develop coordination with whatever part of the swing you were trying to learn.
For individuals and twosomes who are interested in obtaining private instruction from Casey, the two options are private seminars and regular private instruction.
