A true professional, Jim Gunnare is a two-time recipient of the New England PGA Merchandiser of the Year award, and was chosen as the 1993 Vermont PGA Professional of the Year. He has been a PGA member and Class A professional since 1981.

As a top player, Jim has competed on the Florida Mini-Tour and was a top-10 money winner from 1995 to 1997.

Starting his career at Wellshire Country Club in Denver (CO) and then serving at the Boulders Resort in Carefree, AZ, Jim is currently head professional at the well respected Woodstock Inn & Resort, which recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. Jim is only the 5th golf professional in the history of the club. He is responsible for all membership tournaments and a complex schedule of group outings, as well as purchasing and merchandising the resort golf shop with annual sales of over $230K.

A 1973 graduate of Dakota State with a Degree in Business, Jim continues his education and is active in the Vermont PGA Section.

With a full teaching schedule, Jim annually gives over 450 lessons. His skills range from beginning to advanced, and cover every aspect of the golfing community.
