Sandra has been ranked second on the LPGA season money list on five separate occasions, with the most recent being in 1982. In 1985, she was able to play full-time until injuries again forced her out of competition, when she underwent electrode treatment to deaden the sensitivity in her lower back and also underwent knee surgery. In 1988, she returned to the Tour and played in 12 events and surpassed the $1 million mark in career earnings after placing 11th at the Cellular One-PING Championship. 1989 was her last full season on the LPGA Tour, when she played in 23 events and earned $50,687 for a 57th ranking on the money list. In 1997, she placed second in the Sprint Titleholders Senior Challenge, and competed in the tournament from 1993-97.  Her best finish was a tie for 12th at the Sara Lee Classic.
