With over 20 years of valuable experience in all aspects of golf operations, Jim Kepler is a master of many talents, with customer service being primary. Jim was recently named the General Manager at Dayton Valley Country Club after serving as head professional for two years. Jim was the director of golf for over eight years at Eagle Valley Golf Course in Carson City, NV, a semi-private Arnold Palmer facility which consistently rates as having the best course conditions in the area, as attested by PGA Tour officials for Stage I Qualifying tournaments. He was also head professional at the Meadow Club in Fairfax (CA) and Boundary Oaks Golf Course in Walnut Creek (CA).
Jim graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1979 with a BA in Business Administration before beginning his golf career. In addition to his many years as a Head Professional, Jim has had experience operating a complete club repair facility, served as Head Golf Coach at St. Mary's College in Moraga, CA, and coordinated the golf service division for the Ormsby House Hotel in Carson City, NV.
As a Class A member of the PGA since 1985, Jim is a Past President of the Sierra Nevada Chapter of the Northern California PGA, and a former NCPGA Board Member. For the past four years, he has been the host of the PGA TOUR Qualifying School at Dayton Valley, and also hosts the nationally recognized Fred Alexander Memorial Junior Golf Clinic, the largest clinic for juniors in the Western United States.
Recognized for outstanding business services, he was the recipient of the Golf Shop Operations award "Top 100 Golf Shops in America." He is a contributor to Golf Today Magazine, and has been featured on local radio and TV golf shows. Media and public relations oriented, Jim has strong ties to his community through the implementation and marketing of junior, senior, women and family golf programs.
