In the world of golf, Kay McMahon is recognized as one of golf’s finest teachers. She has instructed golfers of all abilities, aptitudes and ailments. A true professional, Kay is committed to the game at all levels, conducting golf clinics and seminars both nationally and internationally. In 2001, Kay was selected as one of the Top 400 Teachers in the US by Golf Magazine, who were finalists in the search for the "Top 100".  She was also chosen as one of the Top 50 Teachers in California by Golf Digest Magazine.

Her many talents include being honored as the 1995 LPGA National Teacher of the Year, and a four-time recipient of the LPGA Western Section Teacher of the Year. Kay is a former National President of the LPGA Teaching & Club Professional Division, and was President and Vice-President of the Western Section. McMahon also received the LPGA President's Award for service and leadership in 1994. 

She was the first woman in the Southern California Chapter to be voted to membership in the PGA. She went on to receive the PGA President's Society award in 1991, and became a faculty instructor in the new Golf Professional Training Program.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Duluth, McMahon was formerly the Head Instructor at the Learning Center at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage (CA), has taught at The Kittansett Club in Marion, Massachusetts, and at The Lakes Country Club in Palm Desert. She is the former Director of Golf Education & Training for City Golf, Inc. in Boston, MA, and is President and Owner of Kayline Sports Consulting, Inc. She directs and instructs a series of golf seminars called "Links to Learning" which are a lecture and golf lab rolled into an exceptional one-day golf experience.

Her talents also include writing. She has been a staff writer for Golf Digest Magazine and has served as a teaching editor with GOLF FOR WOMEN Magazine. She also co-edited the book GOLF with Nance, Davis and McMahon, now in its eighth edition. 

Kay is an extremely effective communicator with the knowledge and experience to impart the swing fundamentals in a simple, concise and practical way.
