Ed OldhamEd Oldham has been a PGA member since 1986 and the Head Golf Professional at The Ranch Country Club in Westminster, Colorado since 1991. Ed was the 1999 Colorado PGA Teacher of the Year and the 2001 and 2002 Colorado PGA Golf Professional of the Year.

Annually listed as one of Colorado’s best teachers by Golf Digest and one of the Southwest Region’s best teachers by Golf Magazine. His students include Tom Reed, a former senior champion who has qualified for many national amateur events; Shawn Wills, the current Colorado Boys State Match Play Champion; the former PGA Colorado Section Champion, Mark Armistead, who also won the Southwest PGA Section Championship; and has worked in the past with the former NIKE Tour player Jeff Fujimoto.  Over twenty of Ed's junior students have gone on to play golf in college, including four at the NCAA Division I level.

Ed is one of 52 professionals in the country currently certified in teaching golf through the PGA of America’s elite Specialty Certification, developed in cooperation with the Stanford Research Institute. Ed wrote and submitted a project that included information on swing model, teaching philosophy and approach. He won the prestigious Colorado Section PGA Horton Smith Award for his contributions to education in 1997 and 1998.

Ed's philosophy as a golf instructor is to help every student, every time.  With this goal in mind, he will make sure that each student has a clearer understanding of their personal swing motion.  He will help each student to understand what they are currently doing, what they should do, and how to improve using visual methods and supported by kinesthetic and verbal methods.

According to Mark Spenner, former University of Colorado Golf  Team member, "Ed's knowledge of the golf swing is equally impressive. Whether he is providing video analysis, or driving range instruction, he is always able to explain the cause of swing flaws. His expertise helps him to prescribe practice methods which attack the problem."  Ed has also taught me immeasurably in terms of playing the game.  "Anyone can hit good shots on the driving range, but Ed has helped me recognize the importance of a pre-shot routine, visualization, positive thinking, and course management.  These principles help translate good driving range shot making to lower scores."
